The best possible source of free qualified traffic is article marketing. I've been building my successful businesses with Article Marketing since 1994. One of the many reasons it's such a great source of qualified traffic is when people spend 3 - 5 minutes reading your article, they self-qualify themselves as quality traffic.

Profitable Article Markting
Creating article content of great quality on a regular basis has many
benefits. In this article we are going to take a closer look at 3 of
them: online visibility, traffic generation, and list building.
3 Benefits of Consistent Article Content Creation
1) Online Visibility - You can the best looking website or blog in the world with the greatest products and resource ever, but if no one can find you online, then what's the point?
My friend and colleague and online visibility expert Denise Wakeman tells us that you want to hear this from prospects:
The good news is you do not have to be. All you do want to do it be found all over your niche. Consistent article content creation and marketing is the fast path to be found all over your niche. Market your content on Article Directories, Social Media such as Facebook (ranked #2) YouTube ranked #3) Twitter (ranked #9) and LinkedIn (ranked #14) and you blog, you will be found all over your niche.
2) Traffic Generation - The best possible source of free qualified traffic is article marketing. I've been building my successful businesses with Article Marketing since 1994. One of the many reasons it's such a great source of qualified traffic is when people spend 3 - 5 minutes reading your article, they self-qualify themselves as quality traffic.
Another great reason is once you get your content out online it is there forever. So each new article is an international article agent working for you 24/7 all over the world, never asking for a raise, calling in sick, or getting cranky.
Because of Article Marketing I could not stop the traffic coming into my websites and blogs if I wanted to, and I certainly don't want to.
3) List Building - So remember when I said in the section about traffic generation that when someone reads your article they are selecting themselves as highly qualified traffic? Well it's

The Internet Gold Rush
Just like the miners of 1949 there's a gold rush happening. And it's not in California and it's not for actual gold.
It's a rush to make money online! People are clamoring for success. There are hundreds if not thousands of plans, schemes, multi-level-marketing companies, and more all preaching about the simplicity of making a fortune online.
"I Made $5,000 Bucks This Month Online"
How often have you seen that headline on an ad? Did they also have a picture of the check they received from Google? That always gives me a good chuckle. Why? Well, it seems like all of the people in these ads are making the EXACT SAME AMOUNT OF MONEY from a program that is very random in generating cash flow. Also, some of these shameless promoters even use the same picture! They don't even bother altering it. So you can actually see two different ads from two different people claiming to be making money online and the pictures of the checks are identical!
So beware, I suppose, is the best thing for me to say. There are legitimate ways to make money online and ALL of those ways involve hours of work and lots of patience. There's no easy money to be made on the internet.
If you do want to make money online and you have extra time and you have the DEDICATION to make it work there are a few things you can do. Look into affiliate marketing, making your own products, or Google's Adesense. These are the best ways to make money online.

W.P. Allen has been writing articles online for nearly 3 years now. Not only does he specialize in building webites and making money online but also many other distinct topics.
Optimize Google AdSense With 3 Important Topics
Google AdSense can bring anyone a ton of money. A ton of money to
the people that have a lot of incoming traffic, right type of ads, a
number of ads per page, and the perfect placement of ads. Through my
experience of Google ads, I cover 3 important topics that may help
anyone increase their clicks.
Number of Ads per page
This is subject that really needs to be addressed because I have seen so many websites with Google ads taking up half the website. I know e-business owner's are in the web business to make some money, but you have to be realistic now. What I do is select the areas where I wish to place ads. I would go through an ad to content ratio check list. I would check to see how many ads there are in comparison to how much content I have on my website. I never want to have more ads then I do content, because the main reason why people come to my website is to get some kind of content out of it. I would recommend the maximum of 3 ad types per page. Anymore, and it would seem too cluttered.
Ad Types
No matter what, if you have the room, and you plan on keeping the maximum ads at 3 I would highly recommend having at least 1 image ad from Google Adsense. Image ads stand out a lot more then text ads, and people are more attracted to them. What I usually do per ad space is stick to image ads, or text ads only. I don't like the idea of having less control then I already have lost by using Google ads. So try to stick to one or the other, the combination of both could cost you some clicks!
Placement of Ads
What will make a user want to come back to your website? I would say, a user that can navigate through your content without accidentally clicking on one of your ads, and having to hit the back button out of frustration. Ad placement on a site is very important. It can be clicked on a lot by accident, causing it to be annoying for your users, it could also be not noticed at all, and nobody will ever click on it.
It's all about the placement of your ads. For each of my websites I have done different placements of the ad types I am using because each layout is different. As I said earlier, image ads stand out more then text ads. So with each, and every one of my domains I have at least 1 image ad on every page.
One thing that some web site owner's do is place a horizontal image ad, and on top of that image ad they placed a link unit ad that sits on top of the image ad horizontally as well. The image ad will attract the attention, but then there are more ads with text that they have the option to click on also!

Article Writing For The AdSense Web Site
Article writing is certainly a useful internet marketing tool. A well written and circulated article can provide you with:
* Links to your web site.
* Search engine entries.
* Expert credentials.
* Information about your web site and products sent around the internet.
* Loads of traffic to your web site when they click on your resource box.
That's all great but you want to make sure that your article is really well distributed. So write for AdSense sites. AdSense sites are the new phenomenon at the moment - just take a quick look at eBay and you will see hundreds of them for sale. Some sites such as AdSenseSites.biz even sells packs of them.
So what is the connection between AdSense sites and article writing?
A look at these sites will quickly show that many of them rely upon articles for their content. Some of these sites like helpfuljoe.com have thousands of pages - all with adverts or AdSense code on them. All generating money for the web site owner.
Why do they use articles? Well articles are cheap content that are of the right size and easy to group under subject headings and if you know where to get them - relatively easy to find in large groups.
So how do you make your article attractive to the people who design AdSense sites?
Head Line. You need a short headline that describes the content of your site and includes 2 or more key words.
The short head line is because articles are stored on the web site by in the following format: "title-details.html" and the title is often used as the linking title in the menu. So the shorter and more descriptive the heading the better for the web site designer.
Contents. Your content should be about 350 - 600 words long and contain a good smattering of key words. The length is because this is the ideal length to fill a web page. Longer articles will be discarded as too complicated to work with. Articles are found by searching on keywords that are appropriate to the web site being built. So if you have a reasonable number of one keyword in your article - it will be found and used.
It is important not to stuff your article with too many keywords or keywords in the wrong place or just for the sake of it.
Choose a few major keywords in your subject area and make sure that you use them appropriately and at a maximum of 5 times.
Article Directory. Obviously in order to get your article found - you need to put it in the appropriate directory! There are several good article directories on the internet such as EzineArticles.com and articleshut.com, but not all of them allow you to bring down numerous articles at a time. The best way to find these directories is to look at some of the AdSense sites and see where they found the articles from.
Of course not all large sites built are for AdSense - helpfuljoe.com for instance uses Clikkads - but the same rules apply for any contextual advertisements.
